Autumn 2010
Weddings
March 27, 2010 saw Channel Nine's ‘Farmer Wants a Wife' couple, Rob Hodge and Jo Fincham, marry at a gorgeous ceremony in the company of 120 friends and family at Royal Mail Hotel's Mt Sturgeon Estate.

Rob and Jo were married at the Mt Sturgeon Woolshed where a roaring fire was lit and beautiful floral displays including dalias and Singapore orchids from Louise Regent Florist, Hamilton decorated the rustic setting while the Hamilton Alexandra College Choir provided a beautiful accompaniment to Jo's entrance.

A canapé function at the Mt Sturgeon Estate Homestead followed, where guests took in the spectacular views of the Grampians before being seated for a luxurious four-course meal. Dinner service began with two entrees of Shallot tart, slow roasted tomato, goat's cheese and rocket and Chicken and leek terrine, mushroom and seaweed salad with shitake vinaigrette.
Eye fillet of beef, braised shallot, potato, mushroom, sauce of shiraz and black pepper and Roast shoulder of lamb, slow cooked vegetables, pine nuts, potato, black olive and rosemary were served as main meals.
A selection of canapé desserts followed with a choice of three mini-desserts: Lemon tarts; Hazelnut mousse with honeycomb and chocolate; and Saffron and melon skewers. A selection of local and international artisan cheeses served with carrot and orange marmalade, dried fruit and house-made lavoche completed the meal.
We wish Jo, Rob and all Royal Mail newly wedded couples the best of luck for a long and happy life together.
