Dunkeld Weekend of Music

Enjoy a weekend of exquisite chamber music, indulgent dining and fine wines in Dunkeld with its spectacular views of the Southern Grampians.

The Australian String Quartet will be joined by internationally acclaimed cellist, Pieter Wispelwey, and two outstanding Australian artists Irina Morozova (viola) and Caroline Almonte (piano). These artists will present five concerts, featuring Schubert's glorious string quintet, a beautiful viola quintet by Mozart, Schumann's virtuosic piano quintet and the magnificent string sextet in B flat major by Brahms. The program also features Pieter Wispelwey performing solo Bach for which he is internationally renowned.

Each concert will be preceded by an insightful introduction by musicologist and conductor Richard Divall.

The concert venues are a highlight of the weekend and include the Mt Sturgeon Woolshed and the Gallery situated in Allan and Maria Myers' Macarthur Street Garden. Superb food prepared by Dan Hunter and his team at the Royal Mail Hotel completes this unique weekend experience.

A Complete Weekend ticket includes admission to all six concerts, beautiful food by award-winning chef Dan Hunter, superb wine and a souvenir program and guide to the weekend. Accommodation at Dunkeld needs to be booked separately to concert tickets. As capacity is limited, we suggest that accommodation is confirmed before booking concert tickets.
