The history of the Dunkeld township began in the 1840s with the Mt Sturgeon property, located three kilometres from the Royal Mail Hotel at the base of the looming Grampians ranges.

Today guests have the option of accommodation at either the luxury Mt Sturgeon Homestead or the quaint one or two bedroom Cottages.

Complimentary transfers between the Mt Sturgeon property and the hotel are provided and guests have access to all hotel facilities.
